SmartLipo™ (Laser Liposuction)
SmartLipo™ (Laser Liposuction) is a new laser-assisted liposuction (liposculpture) technique that simultaneously destroys fat cells and tightens skin. Now FDA-approved, Smartlipo (Laser Liposuction) offers an adjunct to the already state-of-the-art power-assisted liposuction (liposculpture) methods used by Dr. Trott. While it is not a substitute for skin excision, Dr. Trott has seen that incorporation of the laser into her technique can give enough additional skin tightening so that it can obviate the need for a procedure such as a tummy tuck in the future.
SmartLipo (Laser Liposuction) achieves dramatic results by delivering Nd:YAG laser energy through a small incision to localized fat deposits on the face and body. She herself is also extremely knowledgeable in both local and general anesthesia administration for the liposuction (liposculpture) patient, as she has co-authored the anesthesia chapter in the landmark textbook "Ultrasound-Assisted Liposuction" and has presented studies on this topic at national plastic surgery meetings.
